RENT FROM MAX · RENTER RESOURCES

Good questions before your next move.

Straightforward answers for comparing homes and planning an application.

Can I apply for Section 8 through Rent From Max?

No. Apply for housing assistance through a public housing agency. Our Section 8 rental guide links to official resources.

Does “low-income rental” mean the rent is subsidized?

Not necessarily. A lower-priced rental and a home in an income-restricted or subsidized program are different. Confirm the program status of any home directly.

Is the price on the map my rent after voucher assistance?

No. The map shows the listing’s advertised rent. Your housing agency determines any assistance and your share; the site does not calculate a voucher payment.

What should I ask before applying?

Ask about availability, total move-in costs, recurring fees, utilities, application requirements, and how to schedule a viewing. For a Section 8 search, also ask about the paperwork and timing for the specific unit.

Can I use the map to compare neighborhoods?

Yes. Compare locations against your own priorities, such as a commute or a place you regularly visit. Confirm travel times, school assignments, accessibility features, and other important details with the relevant source.

Where can I learn about fair housing?

The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. Additional protections may apply locally. See HUD and Broward County Human Rights for guidance.

Are listings guaranteed to be available?

No. Check the feed’s update notice and confirm pricing and availability with the leasing team before applying.
